The celebrations meticulously planned out by Faryal Makhdoom took over three months to plan and included Disney princesses, Peppa Pig, a real-life ballerina and also featured a carousel and a giant cake.

Over 250 guests were invited to join in the celebrations with the happy couple and their daughter at Bolton Wanderers football club.

In an interview with Hello! magazine, the 29-year-old talked about his daughter’s big day.

“When I walked in, the first thing I said was, ‘Wow!’ My wife did an amazing job,” Khan told the magazine.

“I was busy training when she was planning this, but every day I was getting crazy bills and thinking, ‘What’s this for?’

“Every penny spent on my daughter is worth it, though. After all, all this hard work I do is for her, for my kid.”

Mrs Khan said: “I wanted it to be something really grand. Now I’m not doing anything until she’s 16.”

“I’ve never seen this side of him. He comes home early – before he used to be out with his friends. But now he’s just like, ‘My wife, my child and home’.

“I have to say to him, ‘Can you please go out!’ It’s great for him and for us. He’s changed, being a father, and I’ve changed being a mother. My life is all about my kid.”

Amir Khan also spoke about taking up full time charity work at the Amir Khan Foundation, after he retires from boxing. The chartiy  is dedicated to empowering and supporting young people who are disadvantaged around the world as well as supporting in emergency disasters.
