Seleena Razaq, a jealous ex-girlfriend has pleaded guilty to sending offensive or obscene communication in an attempt to poison her ex-boyfriends new relationship.

The 26-year-old had been dating a co-worker at Birmingham City Council but the couple later split.

She later found out that her ex-boyfriend started dating another woman so plotted revenge to split them up.

Razaq was able to gain access to her ex’s email and stumbled on a topless photograph of his new girlfriend.

She then sent it to her ex-boyfriend along with text messages which threatened to release the images to others at their work place.

She pleaded guilty at Birmingham Crown Court and said she regretted her actions and only did it out of anger and frustration.

Razaq was fined £233 and ordered to pay £100 compensation and £100 costs along with a 12-month restraining order which bans her from contacting her ex-boyfriend.

Birmingham city council has also launched its own investigation into Razaq’s conduct and said: “The city council is investigating this matter according to our policies and procedures. As this is an employment issue, we cannot make any further comment at this time.”
