An American Muslim school teacher received a frightening note telling her to hang herself with her hijab and she is ‘not allowed’ in Trump’s America as other Muslims tell their family members to stop wearing the Islamic clothing for fear of being attacked after the US elections.

Mariah Teli, a teacher at the Dacula High School in Dacula, Georgia, discovered the letter in her classroom on Friday.

The note read: “Mrs Teli, your head scarf isn’t allowed anymore.

“Why don’t you tie it around your neck and hang yourself with it.”

The 24-year-old wrote on Facebook: “I’m a high school teacher and sadly this anonymous note was put in my classroom today.

“As a Muslim, I wear a headscarf as a practice of my faith.

“I want to share this to raise awareness about the reality and climate of our community.

“Spreading hate isn’t going to ‘make America great again’.”

It is not clear if the note was left by one of her pupils or someone else but the local school district has said it is determined to find out who wrote it.

Other Muslim families have asked family members to not wear any kind of Islamic clothing for fear of being attacked after a surge of hate crimes after the US election which saw Donald Trump elected as the 45th president of the U.S.

However, it’s not only Muslims who have become the target of hate crimes and hate speech over the last few days as this sickening video recorded by a 12-year-old shows.

The clip shows children sitting in a lunch hall and shouting “build that wall” at their Latino classmates who were left in tears.
