Urgent appeal for missing 13-year-old schoolgirl amid fears she may have left the country

Police and family are growing increasingly worried for a missing 13-year-old girl amid fears that she may have fled abroad.


Ikra Ahmed, from Stockton-on-Tees, Durham, was last seen on Thursday 11th August at around 2pm.

She has been described as being of British/Pakistani, 5ft 6ins tall with brown eyes and black hair.

Cleveland Police have said they are ‘very concerned’ about her welfare and believe she may have travelled out of the country.

A police spokeswoman said: “We are investigating the possibility that she has travelled abroad among a number of lines of inquiry.

“We will continue to put our more information as the search continues.”

She was last seen wearing a grey dress with a white top underneath, black leggings and her hair was tied up in a ponytail.

Anyone with information is being urged to contact Cleveland Police on 101.
