The brother of Qandeel Baloch claims he killed his sister for his family’s honour during a press conference in which the killer was presented in front of the media for questions.

The announcement of his arrest was made just before he was brought out to answer questions.

Replying to questions asked by the media, he said he killed his sister for posting controversial pictures and videos on Facebook.

“She was bringing disrepute to our family’s honour and I could not tolerate it any further. I killed her around 11.30pm on Friday night when everyone else had gone to bed. My brother is not involved in the murder,” said the murderer before being taken away by the police.

Qandeel’s father Azeem had already told the police that his sons Waseem and Aslam Shaheen were the ones who killed her.

Azeem, who is currently serving in the military, said that the brothers had planned to kill Qandeel because she “brought disrepute to the family’

He also claimed that money was also a motive of the murder.

“My daughter was brave and I will not forget or forgive her brutal murder,” he said.

A post mortem on her body was carried out at Multan’s Nishtar Hospital and police confirmed that no torture marks were found on her body apart from her neck confirming she was strangled.
