Detectives have released the name and picture of the key suspect over the murder of 24-year-old Mansoor Mahmood who was stabbed in the stomach in broad daylight in a targeted attack last month.

Niron Parker-Lee, aged 19 from Brierley Hill, is wanted in connection with the murder three weeks ago.

He has been described as ‘dangerous’ and should not be approached by members of the public.

Mr Mahmood was stabbed near the Dixi Chicken on Brierley Hill High Street at around 5pm on October 15.

Witnesses described seeing the Mr Mahmood staggering towards Dixi Chicken on High Street, Brierley Hill at around 4.45pm on October 15.

One witness, Takeaway worker Ahmad Sherzad, said that Mahmood had pleaded with him to ‘help me’ before collapsing on the floor.

Sherzad was serving customers when Mr Mahmood entered the shop.

Mr Sherzad, aged 20, said: “He had a hand to his waist and blood was coming out . He came up to counter and said ‘help me’ before fainting on to the floor.

“I went outside and called an ambulance.”

“At first I thought it was some kind of joke when he walked in, but then I realised how serious it was.

“It was really scary for everyone inside – no-one knew where he had come from or what had happened.

“While I was outside my manager put a blanket over the man to keep him warm before the ambulance came.

“We’re all completely shocked.”

Staff tried to keep the victim warm by placing a blanket over him while police and paramedics arrived.

He was taken to hospital but was sadly was pronounced dead a short while later.

Police have scoured through CCTV footage from around the area of the stabbing and believe that Mahmood may have known his killer.

They have also made several pleas for witnesses to come forward but so far no arrests have been made.

Detective Inspector Harry Harrison, from Homicide, said: “It’s important we locate Niron Parker-Lee as soon as possible and I would urge anyone with information about his whereabouts to contact us.

“Someone knows where this man is and I’d remind them that harbouring a wanted man is a criminal offence and you may also face prosecution. ”
